Gifted Operating Standards
Ohio Department of Education Definition of “Gifted Students”
The state of Ohio defines a gifted student as one who “performs or shows potential for performing at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience, or environment. (ORC 3324.03)

Students are identified in compliance with the Operating Standards using assessment instruments approved by the Ohio Department of Education:
