In our mission to be transparent and to demonstrate our goal to be good stewards of our resources, we offer this frequent update of how the Ohio Valley ESC invests in the education initiatives across all of our participating school districts.
“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”
I am honored to represent the Ohio Valley Educational Service Center as its Treasurer. I have been Treasurer at the OVESC since January 2009. Prior to that, my experience consists of six years with the Local Government Services Division of the Auditor of State of Ohio’s office.
As Treasurer, I am responsible for the oversight and all financial activities of the District including budgeting, reporting, state and federal grants, investments and payroll. In addition, I am responsible for preparation of the annual contracts with all of our participating districts for services utilized.
My staff consisting of Cheryl Todd and Carol McConnell forms a great team that continually strives to attain the goals of the Treasurer’s office. The goals of our team are to effectively and efficiently manage the ESC’s finances so the ESC may continue to provide the best educational opportunities for all students in our districts served along with providing a safe and healthy environment for our staff. Additionally, the Treasurer’s office strives to provide excellent customer service to the Board of Education, Administration, Faculty, Staff and our Community.
I feel very fortunate to serve in a district with a staff that values dedication, team work, and possesses a strong sense of accountability
